One Down, Plenty to Go
Our Convention Debut: Dan Con!
This past weekend, the Sun Bros made their first appearance at a convention with Dan Con 2013 in Orland Park. We spent the day with a really fantastic community of people—including organizers Decapitated Dan and Amy—and a host of artists, fans, dealers, fellow creators, and terrific cosplayers. At our table, we featured our first graphic novel, Chinatown, along with 5×7 prints of some of our favorite artwork from the book. And because Brad brought along his portfolio, we also offered a preview of some original art from Apocalypse Man!

We did well our first time out, and we’re excited to see what lies ahead for us. In a few weeks, Apocalypse Man will be in print, and we’re working on plans to share it with our online fans as well. Oh, and that’s not all—our Kickstarter backers will be getting their copies in the mail just as they hit the tables in Artist Alley.
Up next …
That’s right. Starting April 26, the big daddy convention in Chicago—C2E2—is next on our Con Schedule. And we won’t just have a table there … we’ll be featured in our own panel! Following our crowdfunding success with Chinatown, we’ve been asked to participate in the Comic Studies Conference at C2E2 with CSC-1: Kickstarting Your Comics. It’ll be a great conversation and you won’t want to miss it. Friday, April 26 at 1:30pm in Room W473—we’ll see you there!
